Step 1 / 8Noise Jamming Basics

A jammer is a transmitter designed to overwhelm a radar receiver with noise. Instead of reflecting pulses like a normal target, the jammer actively broadcasts radio energy across the radar's frequency band. This raises the noise floor so high that real target echoes are drowned out. The radar operator sees static instead of targets, like trying to hear a whisper in a rock concert.
